Delta Flights for Furry Weekend Atlanta

Due to it’s home city being Atlanta, Delta offers more direct flights to FWA than any other airline. If you haven’t booked your flight yet, head over to www.delta.com to book your flight to Furry Weekend Atlanta using meeting code NMFPN. You’ll get a discount from 5-10% off your flight!

Update: The meeting code will not provide a discount for L, U, or T class fares, but we do still get credit for a passenger. Please use the code even if it does not discount your fare any further.

Fursuit Dance Competition

The 2013 Fursuit Dance Competition rules are available here. If you’re thinking of competing, check out the rules so you know what to expect!

The key changes from last year’s rules are:
- Before the convention, we recommend all competitors to send their music selection to fursuiting@furryweekend.com.
- The judges will give scores based on 4 categories: Technique, Execution, Crowd, and Difficulty.
- Tryouts will be judged by a panel of judges using the same score sheets as Finals. Tryout judges will be different then Finals judges.
- Each competitor may only try out once.

Furry Weekend Atlanta 2013 DJ Auditions are OPEN!

If you are interested in submitting a demo, please follow these guidelines:
- Be between 30 and 60 minutes.
Individual set times during our dances are approximately 60 minutes.
- Appropriate to the genre(s) you would play at-con.
This is important for scheduling.
- Must be accompanied by a track list.
Please and thank you!
- Must be MP3 @ 320Kbit (or equivalent OGG/AAC bitrate; FLAC/ALAC/WAV/AIFF are okay too)
If your demo is on Soundcloud/Mixcloud/etc., please make sure it can be downloaded at the above quality.
- No studio mixes! Your mix must be recorded live in one take.

Demos will be accepted until January 31, 2013. Selected DJs will be emailed approximately one week after submissions are closed. Selected DJs will also need to provide a short bio and picture/logo for themselves. Or a press kit, if one is available.

When formatting your email please use the subject “DJ for FWA 2013″. Be sure to include:

Stage name:
Furry Name (if different than stage name):
Demo URL:
Demo genre:
Track list:
Past DJ experience:
Day Prefence (pick three, in order from most desired to least desired): Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday

Furry Weekend: A Decade of Love

Can you believe the 10th Furry Weekend Atlanta is coming up next spring? We’ve grown from a small convention with 270 attendees and a handful of staff to a convention that hosted 1,902 guests, some of them from the other side of the world! There is a lot to be excited about at FWA 2013, and we’re excited to be putting together another great convention.

As we celebrate our 10th year, we’d love to see and share in the memories you’ve made. If you have some great photos from a memorable moment, take the time to share them with us here! We’ll put together a photo reel of these memories to share with everyone.

2013 God Level Membership Changes

For Furry Weekend Atlanta 2013, we will be making a few changes to the God Level Membership. The first change is that we are raising the God Level Membership price to $250.00. The second change is that God Level Membership will ONLY be available through preregistration; it will not be available after preregistration closes or at the door. These changes are necessary so we can offer even better God Level gifts and so we can continue to make FWA’s God Level Membership the best furry convention experience in the world!

We want you to have the opportunity to get in at the old price, so we’re honoring last year’s rate of $175.00 for preregistration until May 31st, 2012! On June 1st, the price will be updated. If you’re planning on attending at God Level, don’t delay! Register now!
